I received my Master of Social Work degree from University of Pittsburgh, with a certificate in Integrated Healthcare. I am a Licensed Master Social Worker and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I am also Certified in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.

I am most useful working with teens and adults navigating gender and/or sexuality, substance use, life transitions, trauma, anxiety, and depression. I practice from a whole person and systems approach. This means I find it important to address not only our personal responsibility to our health but also the impact oppressive structures can have as well. Interventions I most often utilize may include Harm Reduction, CBT/DBT, and EMDR, I also offer low barrier letters for gender affirming care.

As a Fat, Gay, Non-Binary clinician, I know the power that lived experience can bring to a session. I believe you are more than a diagnosis, body size, or who you love. I treat each client as an individual with a rich history of stories to share. I feel privileged to bear witness to your experience.

In my personal life, I enjoy setting off the smoke alarms when I cook, kayaking, and buying books I will never read. I practice "joyful" movement by chasing my puppy down to remove whatever object she is trying to eat.

I am excited to work with you. You can reach me at:

Welcome to Radical Connection! My name is Lia and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, dedicated to helping others cope with the impact life has had on them. I enjoy exploring and being curious about every person's unique life experiences.

I earned my Master of Social Work Degree from Eastern Michigan University and have an undergraduate degree in Sociology and Psychology. I have nine years of experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families. I specialize in working with clients who have experienced trauma, grief/loss, sexual health(sex therapy), gender and sexuality, anxiety, and depression. I also have extensive knowledge of the child welfare and family court systems.

I believe that you are the expert of your life. I work to be curious about your experiences and provide new perspectives. I am honored to be a guide on your journey to self-discovery and healing.

I practice from the framework that our minds and bodies are deeply connected. Exploring how they impact one another is important for our overall health and wellness. I believe it is important to practice from a holistic and person-centered space. Everyone I work with has had a different experience. I tailor treatment to meet each individual's needs.

I love being in nature, kayaking, spending time with loved ones, and finding joy in movement!
